📣CALLING ALL
#OKPreps Historians! 🚨
If you know me, you know I’m a nostalgic guy. Anything tied to Oklahoma high school sports history—I’m grabbing it, preserving it, and adding it to the collection.
Over the years I’ve gathered programs, T‑shirts, old game films, playoff trophies, scorebooks, newspaper clippings… you name it. I do it because I love it, and because preserving our state’s sports history matters.
That same passion drives my website and social media. Everything we share is rooted in keeping
#OKPreps history alive.
Here’s where you come in:
If you have old Oklahoma high school programs, trophies, scorebooks, game films, or other pieces of history that you’re ready to part with, I’m your guy. We regularly share items from the collection—programs, articles, magazines, scorebooks—and we always keep track of where they came from so we can give full credit when we post them.
People often ask how I come up with the things I share. The answer is simple: I post what I would want to see as an Oklahoma high school sports fan. Not everyone shares the same vision, but that’s the well I draw from.
And yes—keeping track of all this historical content takes a lot of time. Many people contribute, and I absolutely couldn’t do it alone.
Lately I’ve been working on organizing everything so it’s better preserved and easier to find. Having the items is one thing; being able to locate them when needed is another.
So, if you have items or collections you’re ready to pass along, let me know. And trust me, they will be in good hands!
I won’t take everything—mostly because Ellen probably won’t let me—but feel free to reach out via FB/Instagram Messenger or email me at chris@iwasatthegame.com.
Most importantly: if these items are treasures you want to keep, please keep them. I have plenty of things that mean the world to me, and I’ll hold onto them forever. Your treasures should stay with you.
Thanks! —Chris
