Jim Carrey shared a memory from Jerry Lewis’ 90th birthday celebration in New York, which took place in April 2016. During the event, Carrey delivered an impromptu speech, recalling a humorous moment with Lewis. He mentioned that they shared laughter over an old joke Lewis had once made about him. “When asked about ways he was similar to me in an interview a while back, he said he definitely saw his influence on me — and in fact may have fucked my mother a couple of decades ago,” said Carrey. In his concluding remarks, Carrey expressed deep appreciation for Lewis, describing him as a “blessing.” Carrey recognized that while some might perceive Lewis as “someone who acted the fool,” he believed that the “courage and the freedom of the fool liberates us.” Thanks for reading.
