Fostering bipartisan discussion is my aim. Been described as "terminally polite". Contrary to popular opinion, I am not a bot, a liberal, or a punching bag.

To everyone misinterpreting the "Terminally Polite" line in my bio: While I found it amusing for awhile, lately, explaining it has become a rather tedious affair. So here's the story behind it. And if I've redirected you to this pinned post for reference, I guarantee there's a reason why. A long time ago, I was at a restaurant with some friends and one of them brought along this absolutely atrocious woman. She berated the staff, called her boyfriend (my friend) horrible names, and talked trash about him when he left the table. I spent the rest of the evening very politely trashing her to her face and she didn't even realize it. My friends did. Afterwards one of them said, "Man, you love to kill with kindness don't you?" and another responded before I could with, "Yeah I guess you could say he's 'terminally polite.'" I thought it was funny. So I kept it and I use it. That said, while I'm rarely (if ever) intentionally cruel, there are times that call for a less tactful, more ruthless approach. Especially when dealing with those who abuse women or children (I spare no quarter for child and domestic abusers). So at times, you may see some of my responses or interactions dip into a...how shall I put it. A more feral territory. People tend to forget that just because I choose not to bite doesn't mean I lack teeth.

Every year when I would take my vacation I'd buy a new hat. Then I'd wear that hat until my next vacation. So usually about a year. I haven't gone anywhere really in four years, so this time around I bought two hats while in the U.P. Which one should I rock until Spring 2027?

You can't smoke in the UK anymore unless you were grandfathered in by being over 18 when they passed the law. Now instead of pressuring tech companies to responsibly mitigate their own platforms they're banning kids from using it? Is the UK even a real place anymore?

Yeah I'll take a large popcorn, a box of Milk Duds, and one uncircumcised Supergirl cup with Coke please.

I wonder if you can get your Supergirl cup with extra foreskin.

Remind me again why I signed up for a winery tour the day after my vacation to the UP ended? Because I think past me is trying to sabotage current me against the hangover future me will experience. When will the self-inflicted violence end?

Well now I'm sad... Gene was one of the few movie critics I actually respected. He understood that cinema was meant to be entertaining to general audiences first, and nuanced artistic expression second. For the most part anyway. 100 years is a good long life though. RIP Gene ☹️

I forgot how cool some of the views from the top of Fort Mackinac are. Also forgot how miserable the hills are...

Got some great shots of the Round Island and the Passage lights on the way in too. With a classic Shepler Ferry as a bonus

Probably my last post for awhile. Hard to say. Not much cell service where I'm headed next. Let alone WiFi. I'll try to get some good pics of the Falls at Tahquamenon. But so far the trip's been fun. Stressful on my leg. But worth a little pain honestly

I will not be taking anymore questions upright for the rest of the evening. Thank you for understanding. Great Turtle on Mackinac Island has some killer booze and grub if you're ever in that area. Highly recommend

Some more cool shots I got yesterday. The landscapes are from the Wawatam Lighthouse pier. The dragon is from Mackinac Island Brewery in Mackinaw City (yes those are both spelled right). Rainy day for the Island today but hopefully I get some good shots of the Lilac Festival

Well well well. Won $120 at the casino. I imagine a meteor will land on me in my sleep to balance the scales

Stopped and saw the Wawatam Lighthouse in St. Ignace on my way through. Wish you could climb it. It's definitely a sharp looking lighthouse for sure. So far my UP vacation is off to a good start. Next stop is hotel check in then hitting the casino to lose $20 on slots
