Fridays are for mobility and explosive power. Hurdles improve hip mobility for better movement and fewer injuries. Hex bar jumps with the Pop-200 teach athletes to produce force instantly—an ability that translates directly to the field and court.

Change of direction progressions 🏃‍♂️➡️💨 From lateral power shuffle hops w/ decel, to accelerating out of COD stance 🔑 Shoulder drop, pivot inside foot, outside foot parallel/front. Proud of the CULTURE these athletes built 🙌 We’re not there yet, but we’re on the way! 🚀

In sports u only get about 200 milliseconds to show power. Thats why we measure PoP-200 w/ trap bar jumps..tells us how quickly an athlete can produce force the difference between jumping higher, sprinting faster or winning a first step. Strength matters but speed of force wins!

Finally back in action at Northwest! Athletes are attacking Zercher squats and reverse lunges while locking in front rack variations to build posture and strength. First cycle is all about deceleration and landing mechanics—love the energy and buy-in this year!

WIN THE DAY. It’s about the details. Be on time. Finish every rep. Encourage your teammates. Hold yourself accountable. Small actions → big results. Big results → winning culture. Win today. Win tomorrow. Keep stacking. 🐺🔥 #WinTheDay #NorthwestStrength #DetailsMatter

Cameron Estwick came away with a school record 21.73 MPH
Day 2 with Olympic sprinter BJ Lawrence and the speed just keeps climbing! 🔥 We focused on glute activation with monster walks and dialed in hamstring mobility to prep for top speed. The energy was unreal — no music needed when the vibes and PRs are this loud.

Not too many schools have access to train with an Olympic athlete 🤷🏼‍♂️
Huge shoutout to BJ Lawrence for stopping by and dropping elite sprint knowledge on our athletes today! 🧠📈 From top speed mechanics to next-level cues & drills, our crew got a rare opportunity to learn from a world-class OLYMPIC athlete. This is how we LEVEL UP at Northwest 💪🏾

🔥 Speed day went CRAZY today! We timed 10-yard flys with lasers and had multiple PRs, including a new school record by our female athlete hitting 19.4 MPH 💨💪 In the weight room, we hit dynamic effort trap bar jumps using CMJ inverse POP-100 to measure explosiveness ⚡
