Remember when I was talking about Colt Keith and him not swinging and missing at any sliders? In the 21 sliders he's seen in AAA through Sunday, he's swung and missed at just 1... Colt does not miss sliders.

In a related note: Hao-Yu Lee took him oppo into the right-center seats. Only other hard-struck ball I've seen is an oppo gapper by Wenceel Perez batting lefty.
Justin Verlander back on the mound in Houston. Though pitching another sim game isn’t how he envisioned it…

Malgeri is hitting 95 plus: He’s hitting breaking balls, He is lefties at a .344/.446/.689 with five home runs. Beating a dead horse, aside, stats, all those things you look for, he and Corey Julks are doing well. 🤷‍♂️
Ben Malgeri ties the game with a double. He’s now 2-for-2 with 3 RBI

This is extremely awesome. Very well done by Cade!
Swing plane matching has been tossed around by those around the game forever, but what is its run value? According to the model, the relationship is asymmetrical. Below is my write up, please don’t hesitate to provide any feedback!⬇️ medium.com/@cade.cavin/quant…

24.1” of IVB at 93 MPH means ~7.5” of drop. By comparison. Out of 94,706 4-seamers thrown in the MLB before today, 639 have had 8” or less drop. Or 0.675%. And his changeup spin is even more rare. Only 0.3% of all changeups thrown had that low or lower spin.
Hunter Watson (@mvscrappers) got the start in his #MLBDraftLeague debut and struck out 5️⃣ over three, featuring a high-spin FB and low-spin CH.🐶 @OUBaseball recruit.
