EFFECTIVE MARCH 9, 2026: Following favorable changes to our Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) County-wide average, the burn ban placed into effect February 16 has been lifted. Residents should continue to exercise safe practices when burning or cooking outdoors.

OSCFR and Florida Forest Service responding to a brush fire in the Suburban Estates area near Holopaw. Containment operations ongoing; campers and visitors at nearby campsites should exercise caution and follow directions from emergency personnel if they are in a risk area.

UPDATE 7pm: almost all active fire is within containment area at this time. Forest Service units remain on scene reinforcing containment lines and addressing spot fires in the vicinity; OSCFR units available to assist in the event of any urgent developments overnight.

Osceola County Traffic Alert:
The NB lanes of the FL Turnpike are currently blocked at mile marker 245 due to an overturned semi-truck. Traffic is being diverted onto US-192. Crews are on-scene to clear the roadblock. Drivers need to use caution in the area. #Kissimmee
