Nonprofit hospitals were making $45 billion worth of profit.” “A study that looked at almost 1,500 nonprofit hospitals found that 86% of them provided LITTLE TO NO charity.” “It goes to executives, these CEOs getting paid about $4.5 million a year. Meanwhile, their nurses make about 70K.” “Here’s a guy, Robert [Grossman], at a hospital in New York who paid himself $15.3 million a year. Nonprofit hospital.”

I know some disagree, and that’s fine. But I’m a Little League guy. Let kids play Little League, have fun with their friends, and enjoy being kids. As they get older, baseball gets more competitive, more stressful, and a little less fun. There’s plenty of time for travel ball.

A week ago our H.S. players were competing in front of 800-1,000 fans with a season on the line. Last night they were playing a 16U travel game in front of about 20 people, 0 energy and no pressure. Tell me again that travel baseball can replace the high school experience.

Saw 12 high school arms over the past 3 days… 
Only 3 “Velos” were even close to what throwing facilities and scouting services have been claiming these pitchers throw. Maybe it’s time to start posting the walk rates, injury histories, and how many players are getting shut down from unhealthy arms too… Velocity without command or durability means nothing. And maybe live bullpens in December, January, and February shouldn’t be treated like it’s midseason either.
