Europe loves saying Ukraine has “the strongest military in Europe.” Fine. Then act like Ukraine is defending Europe now — not like it’s a buffer buying time for Europe to slowly rearm over the next 3–5 years. Ukraine still lacks enough air defense, long-range capabilities, and strategic support to fully protect its people. The goal should not be to help Ukraine survive. The goal should be to increase pressure on Russia now — militarily, economically, and politically — so Russia wants to end this war. #globsec2026

🚨I called it yesterday that there has been a noticeable change in attitude from the Irish government in recent days re Aughinish Alumina. I think now I may know why. Sweden is providing Intel. Well done Sweden!

To onlookers at Disneyland Paris, he was just another grumpy father, dragged from queue to queue, waiting for hours to get on rides. In reality, the grouchy dad in Minnie Mouse ears was a Russian tech boss, whose software is being used by military cadets in training to join Vladimir Putin’s killer drone force. My last investigation for @theipaper exposes the Russian tech bosses travelling freely across Europe, while their software teaches school children how to fly drones. inews.co.uk/news/pictured-ru…

Kaja Kallas called on Ireland to investigate whether its alumina ends up in Russia’s war machine. I have the same question. Why does an independent journalist have to collect alumina samples and try to trace this himself? Doesn’t the Irish state have the capability to do it? Ukraine would certainly provide access to missile fragments, drones, aircraft wreckage, and other captured Russian military equipment for analysis.
Made it out of Ireland with 2 samples of Aughinish alumina powder to get tested. It’s from two sources: at the refinery and from a worker who doesn’t want to be identified. He told me the biggest threat to his job is russian ownership and he wants it exposed & nationalised

This is the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility in Ukraine's Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Russia bombed it tonight. Why? Because Russia's goal is not simply to occupy territory. Its goal is to make Ukraine uninhabitable and impossible to sustain as a sovereign state. Attacks on nuclear infrastructure should never become normal. The international response must reflect the gravity of this escalation. But who cares, right ?

When there are too many different explanations for why a war was started, you eventually begin to suspect that none of them is true. NATO. Nazis. Biolabs. Russian speakers. History. Security. Satanists. Traditional values. The list keeps changing. And when every justification contradicts the previous one, you are left with the most uncomfortable conclusion of all: Russia started this war for absolutely no reason. They are just crazy deranged bastards.
🤡 Russia demands special rights for Russian speakers as a condition for ending the war According to Lavrov, resolving this issue is one of the conditions for settling the conflict in Ukraine. The Russian foreign minister also pledged to combat “Russophobia” and promote the Russian language abroad. “And, of course, we will continue to do everything possible to support our compatriots abroad, as well as foreign partners and friends in studying the Russian language, receiving education in Russian, and implementing humanitarian and educational projects.”
