Prominent structures are labeled including the inner dynein arm (IDA), outer dynein arms (ODAs) and the nexin–dynein regulatory complex (N-DRC). The standard numbering system for the outer microtubule doublets and doublet subtubules (A DMT and B DMT) are indicated. Red triangle indicates the microtubule seam. Central pair (CP) projections and the inner junction (IJ) are shown.
