For a company that works with words, we find ourselves at a loss upon learning of the passing of our much-beloved author and friend of the press, T. Lindsay Baker. It has been our great privilege to know him...
Dr. Baker's unbridled enthusiasm for Texas history and the legacy of Route 66 inspired countless scholars and general readers alike. Our deepest condolences go to his family, colleagues, fellow Route 66 voyagers, and all those who had the joy of knowing him.

Americans of all political persuasions hate Congress.
I nominate Frances Lee's "A Case for Congress" (@OUPress) as a hopeful read for America's 250th.
The book added nuance to my own thinking; Lee shows where Congress does serve, even if imperfectly, as the Founders intended.

I loved Chelsea T. Hicks's first book, "A Calm and Normal Heart: Stories."
Deft observations, wry humor, emotionally searing—a writer clearly on the way up.
I am thrilled that my colleague Alessandra Jacobi Tamulevich has now signed her first novel for @OUPress!
“Provocative, impressive, and exhaustively researched." —Jakobi Williams
