In Chile, a 34-year-old security guard was suspected of using online spaces to target and exploit children, leveraging access to social media to harass and coerce minors into producing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). In late 2025, Chile’s Investigative Police (PDI) launched Operation Stingray with support from @ourrescue_latam to identify and apprehend the suspect. During the operation, the 34-year-old suspect was arrested for crimes related to CSAM. At the center of this operation were real children facing real-time sexual exploitation.
