Barnsley scored 83 goals in all competitions last season. David McGoldrick contributed 18, Davis Keillor-Dunn added 16, and Adam Phillips chipped in with 11. If Phillips completes his move to Bradford City, that's 45 goals walking out of the door. Replacing players is one thing. Replacing over half of your goals is something else entirely. For me, it's not just about bringing bodies in. It's about finding players capable of delivering consistent end product over a full season. Goals are the hardest currency in football, and Barnsley are potentially losing a huge amount of them in one summer. Daniel Stendel's football should create chances, but somebody still has to put the ball in the net. That's why, for all the excitement around the new era, replacing that level of goal contribution has to be one of the biggest priorities of the entire transfer window. #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc

David McGoldrick's time at Barnsley has come to an end following his move to Mansfield Town. Despite arriving in the latter stages of his career, McGoldrick's quality was evident whenever he stepped onto the pitch. His intelligence, movement and technical ability often stood out, even in difficult periods. A consummate professional and a player many younger teammates will undoubtedly have learned from. Wishing him all the very best for the next chapter of his career. How do The Reds replace the goals, creativity and experience David McGoldrick brought to this squad? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc #MansfieldTown

Understand Bradford City are poised to sign Adam Phillips from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee. If the move goes through, it would bring an end to a spell that has seen Phillips produce some real moments of quality in a Reds shirt. At his best, he's been one of the most creative players in the squad, capable of changing games with a pass, a goal or a piece of individual brilliance. With Daniel Stendel beginning a new chapter at Oakwell, this could prove to be one of the first significant decisions of the summer. Would you be disappointed to see Adam Phillips leave, or is now the right time for both club and player to move on? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc #BradfordCity

Eight years ago today, Christoph Knasmüllner left Barnsley FC to join Rapid Vienna on a permanent deal after an underwhelming spell at Oakwell. The Austrian midfielder made just three appearances for the Reds, including only one start, during his four-and-a-half months at the club. A move that ultimately passed by without ever making much impact at Barnsley. QUESTION: Who, in your opinion, was the most pointless Barnsley FC signing you can remember? 🤔 #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc

Barnsley and Stockport are reportedly monitoring Salford City midfielder Ossama Ashley following the expiry of his contract this summer. Ashley enjoyed a standout 2024/25 campaign with Salford, recording the highest interception tally in League Two with 71 while also winning the club’s Supporters’ Player of the Year award thanks to his relentless work rate and defensive dominance in midfield. His 2025/26 season proved more difficult, with squad rotation and limited matchday involvement reducing his overall impact before his contract expired in June 2026. Known for his athleticism, intensity and aggressive ball-winning ability, the 24-year-old has previously developed through AFC Wimbledon, West Ham United U23s and Colchester United, building a reputation as a hard-working midfield anchor who stylistically appears well suited to Daniel Stendel’s high-energy system. Would Ossama Ashley improve Barnsley’s midfield this summer? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc #SalfordCity #StockportCounty #Transferwindow

Recruitment matters this summer. But retention might matter even more. Barnsley cannot keep rebuilding the spine of the squad every 12 months and expect long-term progress. If Daniel Stendel is going to build something intense and sustainable again, the club has to keep enough quality together to give him a genuine foundation. 👇 Is retention now the biggest challenge facing Barnsley this summer? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc

There is growing talk around Oakwell that former Reds captain Adam Davies could potentially return to the club this summer. Davies made over 200 appearances for Barnsley between 2014 and 2019, winning the Football League Trophy, achieving two promotions and captaining the club back to the Championship under Daniel Stendel during an unforgettable 2018/19 campaign. Under Stendel’s aggressive, high-energy system, Davies became one of the standout goalkeepers in League One — keeping 19 clean sheets, helping Barnsley finish with the best defensive record in the EFL and earning a place in the League One Team of the Season. His form that year also led to his breakthrough into the Wales national team setup. Still hugely respected by supporters, Davies remains one of the most reliable and influential modern-era goalkeepers to play at Oakwell. Would you welcome Adam Davies back to Barnsley this summer? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc #Transferwindow

Ashley Fletcher always felt like one of those players Barnsley fans never fully got to see the best of. He had raw pace, physicality and that ability to produce big moments, but always felt like a player Barnsley fans believed still had another level to reach. Now he’s ended up at Huddersfield Town… So honestly, would you have taken him back at Oakwell for a second spell this summer? #OakwellHub #Barnsleyfc
