🌐 The Secretary-General of the OACPS, H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki (@MBatraki), met with H.E. Mr Eshete Tilahun Woldeyes, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (@MFAEthiopia), to discuss preparations for Ethiopia’s upcoming chairmanship of the OACPS Committee of Ambassadors and Council of Ministers. Discussions focused on the priorities and calendar for the second half of 2026, including the preparation of the Organisation’s 2027 budget, the implementation of the Malabo Declaration and upcoming OACPS and Joint OACPS-EU meetings. They also exchanged views on advancing the ratification and implementation of the Samoa Agreement, strengthening Member States’ engagement and enhancing the financial sustainability of the organisation. Our comrade King Zale was abducted by security operatives on 21st April and has been missing since. Yesterday, the High Court finally issued a Habeas Corpus order for his production before court. Hopefully, they won't bring in affidavits claiming that he isn't in their custody, as they have done in many recent cases. Most importantly, everyone with good conscience should condemn and push back against these pervasive enforced disappearances in Uganda.
