Have you heard about our new marine lab? In January of 2022, Ocean First Institute partnered with @marinelabkeylargo by establishing our own research base! In Key Largo, we will be conducting shark and other marine research with students and citizen scientists.

Juvenile white shark Olympia just checked in off of Charleston, SC! We met this 7ft, 187lb female shark during Expedition New England last year and she's worked her way nearly 1,400 miles south since.

To OBX she goes! Sub-adult white shark Andromache measures in at 10 ft 8 in (3.25 m). She's currently enjoying the waters off of OBX, NC! She pinged in this location back in October of 2020 and 2021 and early in May of 2021! Keep on swimming on sweet girl! 😍🦈🙌
