I'm so happy to finally get to share this with y'all. A long time ago my buddy Adam Ganse and I pitched a short to Cartoon Network- it's been one heck of a wild ride and I'm so excited that Cali and Xen can finally power-loop into a premiere. youtube.com/watch?v=cygNLGTl…

Here’s some more amazing character exploration by @trisketched - I was SO glad to get his take on Cali and Xen. So much of their final designs were pulled from these. Just amazing. 🧡💙

I got to chat with Billy here on twitter a few times after working with a TON of his voice record for Macaque. He was always so kind, he'd remember members of our anim/board crew and loved to talk about the show. Dude had such a genuine love for the craft and his peers.
4 years ago today, we lost Billy Kametz. 💔

The shellshock the day we heard what happened will always stick with me. Billy remained positive the whole way through. You were one of a kind, man. Dearly missed by everyone who knew you.

Here's somethin kinda fun/silly- for a long time I wasn't sure if Outrunners would ever come out, so I started designing a mental reboot of it just for fun. Things got a little more high-tech starting with Cali getting a metal arm that could shift into different objects.

Some more Outrunners concept art- turnarounds! Steve was especially challenging. Also check out that original color palette!

I think one of the hardest parts about these characters was finding a level of balance with detail- thankfully Nick Jennings, our awesome Shorts lead, took a pass at them after me and really helped hone in on the important elements of each design.

I've waited for so long to post these- the character designs for our space cadets <3 With extra special thanks to @trisketched for all of the visdev work he did to get these two to where they are.

I really just wanna thank the entire CN shorts team that guided us through the process, all of my amazing friends that came to work on this with us, our voice talent that put so much life into these characters, and Tiger, our phenomenal animation studio. Love y'all so much <3

I would rather watch a live-stream of someone nervously pitching their sticky-note doodle storyboards for the rest of my life than watch 10 seconds of some AI slop garbage.

The real answer is Pigsy acting like Monkey King wasn't a garbage dad for most of season 2 and then having to spend season 3 stuck in a van with him but ayy what do i knowwww

Seconded.
Since Flying Bark has once again been thrown under a bus by the animation industry, can @LEGO_Group pick them back up to finish LEGO Monkie Kid? Its a work of art and the series really deserves a proper ending. #LEGOMonkieKid

I worked on this film as an artist too. So incredibly proud of it. I understand fans who engage in leaks once they're out there, I get it. The issue is the release, the one we all worked towards for years, being neutered by both Paramount and the leakers. It could have been (1/3)
We worked on the aang movie for years with the expectation that’d we’d get to celebrate all of our hard work in theaters.. just to see people unceremoniously leak the film and pass our shots around on twitter like candy.. (1/3)

If the Trump AI Jesus post had been written as a piece of political fiction, critics would say you were being too cartoonishly villainous. Too on-the-nose with the metaphor.

Never seen someone summarize it so succinctly.
Replying to @mjarbo
It’s not your expression, it’s a machine given words that it uses to create a consensus of how other people have expressed it. Expression is your voice, not the voices of others serrated and dragged through a machine made to mimic your mouth. You express nothing, you forfeit your voice to allow the rest of humanity to speak for you. Here, you even say the ultimate goal is the erasure of human voices. Your “expression” leads to a lack of humanity, not a furtherance of it. Every iteration and invention of art has found new ways to allow us to culminate the human experience through sensation, but generative AI is cancer, it’s the cells of what we’ve already built spinning ad nauseam until all we “make” is what others have already made. It’s a dead end and lifeless, and goes against whatever spirit, soul, or God gave us the gift of creation in the first place.

You can get as good as you want at replicating the final output with the Theft Machine but no amount of copy/paste is going to make up for the lack of BASIC storytelling fundamentals.
This is a $300,000,000 animation starring some of the strongest protagonists ever created. Yes — this was made 100% by artificial intelligence in less than 1 day. It was created with Seedance 2.0, a Chinese AI with no censorship, already released in China and coming globally in the future. Everything is extremely smooth, with almost no errors. We’re witnessing a massive shift in how content is created on the internet. This is only the beginning. Follow for more.

No sense of space, no pacing, characters swapping positions left and right, no sense of weight or timing, hookups practically nonexistent, 180 degree rule carted out in a body bag.

Now I don't want to sound harsh but I believe everyone involved in this story should die.
