That’s because the catcher clearly dropped it. He doesn’t fling it in celebration. It falls out before the catch is made.
So…St. Rita won the Class 3A state title. We thought.

Open letter to 10U umpires:
First and foremost. God bless you. It takes some real stones to be out there dealing the parents and coaches these days for $30/game. You’re a real one.
Second, and the point of this letter:
Your strike zone should be HUGE. I mean, Texas sized, Alaska HUGE. You warn everyone in advance so there’s no misunderstandings.
You are getting paid by the game, not by the hour, homie. Show some business sense.
