“I can do more than you think.” — Blue 🤖 Meet Blue, an educational AI robot created by Dr Alex Levant using @OhbotRobot Alex has been developing this project over the past couple of years, using Ohbot in his Critical AI Studies courses at @Laurier University. Blue is being used to help students experience and better understand AI in a different way. It can speak and answer questions, play music, and even act as a smart home device. Turns out @OhbotRobot is quite the networker 🤖👀 We definitely lost count of how many companies Ohbot spoke to at #GirlTechWM… but managed to grab photos with quite a few! 😁 📸 It was brilliant to see so many young girls getting involved, asking questions and excited to explore tech at the event. How schools are using Picoh beyond computing lessons 🤖 In the classroom, Picoh can be used to support emotional expression, recognising facial cues, understanding the emotions of others, and collaborating through shared activities and discussion. Using Scratch, pupils can programme Picoh to express emotions, talk through scenarios from school and home life, and give supportive statements and suggestions around regulating feelings.
