I was quietly rooting for Spurs in NBA Finals because of my affection for Pop and RC Buford, but the Knicks were the better team and they were clearly better coached. If Pop were still the Spurs coach - the outcome might have been different.

Terribly sorry to hear this news. A Hall of Fame coach for sure, but absolutely a HOF person. He will be missed. Regrets to his family and a large legion of friends.
