Oilers need to forget about Babcock.I really hope the NHL doesn't allow this. Do everything you can to get permission to speak to Cassidy. I wasn't even crazy about the Cassidy idea, but Babcock is such a horrendous move. Seriously. WTAF.

I am so damn happy that the Knights' flukey run finally came to a halt in the Stanley Cup Final. Such an arrogant and annoying franchise. Congrats to the Hurricanes on a much deserved Stanley Cup victory. Gotta wonder, do we ever see McDavid and the Oilers hoist that Cup?!

Like him, or hate him, Nurse was a minute-muncher for the Oilers. For years. It will be interesting to see what type of return the Oilers get. More interesting will be seeing who they get to fill those big minutes. Need a legitimate top2 D-man. Way easier said than done.

Is this the Oilers way of gauging fan reaction on Babcock? Or are they seriously this desperate? Might as well have kept Knoblauch, if this is seriously the path they are going down. Fuck Vegas and fuck Babcock even more. Bowman is running the team into the ground. Or is it Katz?

This has to be the worst Stanley Cup Final in years. Painful to pick one over the other, but anyone who isn't rooting for the 'Canes needs their head examined.

I thought the Habs were cooked. It was all Buffalo after Habs went up 2-zip. Dobes kept them in it and an innocent looking shot by Newhook fools Luukkonen. He'll be thinking about that one all summer. Tough goal to give up in a Game 7 OT! Habs off to Carolina!

Easily the most concerning quote, from the Bowman availability -"We won't be changing out a significant part of our roster." No coach is going to take this current roster, or a slightly tweaked roster, back to contention. Defense and goaltending with massive holes. Just to start!
