This is what happens in OP bull runs.
Supply is significantly lower than Pokemon.
You find that when we're in OP szn there tend to be 1-2 major cards up for sale in day, and as supply is so limited it tends to make a new high each time. Consignment companies also list very well to ensure it maximises returns.
The demand is SIGNIFICANTLY higher than available demand for bigger cards.
With PSAs pausing there is also a huge uptick in demand for lower end cards with minimal supply.
Gacha machine restocking will be a major pinch point in these conditions (or a major contributor in driving up prices.)
