Rest in peace to a giant. Dr. Wilson will be remembered as a proud father, historian, professor, changemaker, and the best neighbor you could hope to have. He was larger than life. May his legacy live on through all those whose lives he touched.

We recorded key elements of relinquishment laws for DVPOs and convictions on a state-year basis (see Appendix for chronological changes in each state).
We also highlight recent gaps in relinquishment policies as of January 2023 (Tables 1 and 2).
