I keep seeing a lot of "Oluwatobi" making waves in what they do and with a lot of impact, I too must make an impact in tech or Cybersecurity. 🫶🏾

Listen to guys like this and you’d understand Feminism. In a world with men like this, women have to look out for themselves.
"If band!ts k!dnap my wife, I’ll will not pay ransom and remarry, because they would have slept with her" - Nigerian man.

In a session myself and @bolaabanjo had with @iamKingRobert on the @thegeekcircleX space a few days ago, I made a point I think about a lot. When the West builds tech and we in Africa get access to it, we forget something important: these tools weren’t built with us in mind. Access can be revoked. Anytime. Just look at what’s playing out with Claude right now. The US government issued an export directive affecting access to some of @AnthropicAI’s models for foreign nationals. Anthropic is fighting it, but the point stands: a government decision, made elsewhere, can determine what tech Africans wake up able to use tomorrow. Now scale that thought. What if access to AI tools gets restricted for African countries entirely? What’s our alternative? Do we go to other alternatives like DeepSeek? China built that. What have we built? This isn’t paranoia, it’s preparation. When do we start taking our own tech seriously? When do we fund it, build it, support it like our future depends on it… because it actually does. If access gets cut off tomorrow, do we have anything to fall back on? Right now, honestly? No. And that should bother all of us in tech on this continent. This is the conversation Africa needs to be having. Not “which foreign tool is better” but “what happens when we don’t get a vote in whether we keep access at all.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible. Read our full statement: anthropic.com/news/fable-myt…

Software Engineering I build web and mobile applications that: - don't panic even when Nigeria happens to them😹. - keep users' money safe even when transactions don't go as planned. - handle poor networks without making users suffer. - expect failures, recover gracefully, and keep moving. - solve real problems instead of creating new ones.

AccessNG is an exploration into how modern Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) can be built with security, citizen empathy, and architectural scalability at its core for Nigerians. 🇳🇬 Disclaimer: This framework is designed strictly as a strategic architectural recommendation for government ownership and adoption, not an independent commercial product. You will open Twitter, and the idea you want to build, someone is already building it or has launched it, fast execution matters now 😂💔 I remember telling @boyethecreator an idea like this. This is cool chief 🤩
Imagine a unified digital experience where accessing your Nigerian Services like international passport, NIN registration and more, all happens securely in one place. I designed AccessNG, a unified system built to streamline public infrastructure, simplify applications, provide feedback and put citizens first. See detailed case study medium.com/@daviowhite/acces… A thread 🧵

“Please, I have come to make some clarification. Today makes it 24 days that we have been in this place. Some press media outlets are complicating the issue by stating that the people who abducted us requested N1 billion ransom and demanded Sharia law across the country. These claims are not true…….” Abducted principal, Rachael Alamu of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle.
