FCI Englewood has the most COVID-19 positive cases in the Bureau of Prisons right now at 451 (with 50 staff members positive). That is just over half of the 900 people at the facility. Eric King is recovering from COVID-19 and in isolation for years now.

Today at 4 p.m., supporters of prisoner Edward Poindexter will gather for a march to the governor's house. Preston Love will hold a press conference there asking the state to develop a plan to release Poindexter, 76, and elderly prisoners who are at high risk of severe illness.

in April 1972, Ed Poindexter was sentenced to life in prison for the death of an Omaha police officer - a crime he did not commit. Mondo we Langa died in a cage, please do not let Ed's fate be as bleak.

Ed Poindexter and Mondo we Langa are commonly known as the “Omaha Two.” They were leaders of the Black Panther Party in Omaha in the late 1960s and, like others, were targeted both by the Omaha police and the FBI under its notorious COINTELPRO spying and disruption program.
