Last on my various ADHD rambles today, just a single post. Anyone wanting to know more about ADHD (not necessarily management but what it is), should take the time to watch this video series. The *single* best and most detailed explanation ever. youtube.com/playlist?list=PL…

So - I did a thing. sendlens.vercel.app/ seND Lens is now live in an early state! A tool to try and help parents understand and look at school data around how individual schools *may* be doing with SEN, particularly ND SEN. Expansion below!

This is almost certainly because this is how poor Sen implementation handles "difficult" children. A known outcome. Secondly....the picture gets extremely interesting when you look at multi academy trusts, and the site captures this.

Anyway. If you have a passing interest...please check it out. Errors expected (!), but will be refined hopefully. To my knowledge this is the first analysis and tool of it's type targeting this specific measure, so hoping it'll be useful. Feedback appreciated! ☺️

I have no issue with her being cleared - this was always, in my view, an honest mistake. The timing of her being cleared however....I find interesting.
EXCL: Angela Rayner has been cleared by HMRC of deliberate wrongdoing or carelessness over her tax affairs, paving the way for a potential leadership bid if Keir Starmer’s grip on power unravels. The former DPM has settled £40,000 in unpaid stamp duty, but has not paid any penalty as a result of the investigation. HMRC was also satisfied there was no tax avoidance. Rayner tells me she was “bruised” by whole experience because of intrusion into her disabled son’s personal life, but also because it had appeared as though she was “in it for myself” rather than on the side of ordinary people. Rayner indicated she may run in event of a contest as she would “play my part” and that she understood why Labour MPs were so upset following last week’s election crushing. She said Starmer should “reflect on” stepping aside.

Ok folks... Seeing as though Twitter is getting carried away (again)...no, an Italian who was not on the ship has not been hospitalised with hantavirus. He has "symptoms" (initial hantavirus symptoms are generic, like cold/flu) and testing been done as a precaution (rightly)

Fully expect this to come back negative... But it may not. That's why we test. Even if it comes back positive it doesn't actually materially change the position. In any event this is all vibes like the flight attendant discussion, where nothing actually happened.

Sorry - clarification - he doesn't even have symptoms! 🤦 x.com/i/status/2054267880359…

Replying to @OmicronData
He doesn’t even have symptoms. He and other 3 were on the KLM flight and now is quarantining at home. He is going to be tested as the other 3 (1 in Veneto negative, 3 other not yet tested). Really bad reporting. repubblica.it/cronaca/2026/0…

There’s a persistent belief that being highly able somehow “cancels out” SEND,as if intelligence protects a child from autism,ADHD,dyslexia, sensory difficulties, anxiety, exec functioning problems or emotional vulnerability. In reality, high cognitive ability can mask needs for yrs.

Does anyone have any good studies or documentation on the link between ADHD/ASD and hyper mobility?

Is it just me or is there something very "global north" about the rhetoric around hantavirus? Fundamentally this is not a new virus, is showing no shift in dynamics, and there have been *worse* outbreaks before. Only difference is it's affecting people from "rich" nations.

Clearly like any outbreak of such a virus it should have appropriate PH response, which as far as I can see it is. Some areas of imperfection but generally robust. But why are some elevating this massively and didn't in say, 2018, when there was a big outbreak in Argentina?

100% correct.
This makes me sick to the pit of my stomach. Arbitrary age limits are discriminatory. Young people who have significant impairments will have LESS independence and LESS ability to participate in society. This is a disgusting policy.

This is a really good post outlining ADHD and family dynamics. Would strongly recommend a read.
This is my response to Naomi Fisher. It is completely clear to me that she doesn’t understand the very basics of ADHD. open.substack.com/pub/craigl…
