Tarrasques are most likely. There are lots of immortals creatures but few last more than a few centuries whereas the Tarrasques are from the dawn of creation so not much has survived that long.

Natural elemental energies of a region have mechanical scores. Those scores inform everything from potency of magic to weather & traps to opposing factions present. It’s a tool that works from micro to macro.

Probably some kind of insect. I don't tend to go beyond the barely visible in my details. If asked, I can adlib everything down the atomic level but most players don't possess the interest or understanding of the fundamental principles of my universe.

Orcs, trolls, rakshasa, baatezu, tanar'ri, even dragons. You can flip through the MM and find lots of evil creatures who are evil by design. In my world, most giants are also evil. I figured if they can just take whatever they want, why wouldn't they?

There is this small tavern in a village that is famous for a strange sword that is melted into the stone anyone who is inside the Tavern is unable to draw their weapons to inflict harm. It was left their by an ancient dwarven hero who died protecting the surrounding area
