RWAs grew about 600% from early 2025 to June 2026, reaching $32B in total market value end of May. Bonds and money market funds drove the biggest dollar gains while tokenized equities grew the fastest. The market is starting to look less like another new "shiny" crypto trend and more like a new capital layer.

A tokenized building sits in one country. The token holder might live in another. The platform issuing it could be incorporated somewhere else entirely. So when ownership gets disputed, whose court hears it? Whose law applies? Which regulator even has jurisdiction? Most tokenization platforms treat the asset like it's borderless. Real estate never is. The hard part isn't the tokenization itself. It's making sure a global token still answers to the local jurisdiction where the building actually sits, and making sure that jurisdiction recognizes what you've built in the first place.
