On my way to Manchester to deliver a keynote at @OneEducation ‘Reducing Harm Through Education’ safeguarding conference. Many abused children from backgrounds similar to mine - considered ‘privilaged’ from the outside looking in, are off the radar entirely, with perpetrators protected by the powerful barriers of wealth, power and connection. (Something we are all seeing playing out in current world events). As a result, voices like mine are noticeably absent from research and discourse, so I’m pleased to be able to share my experience as a child who suffered #CSA within the family.
