Speaking at the
#OneHealthDay 2025 celebration, DG. Prof.
@CMuvunyi emphasized the deep interconnectedness between human health, animal health, and the environment.
He welcomed the launch of Rwanda’s Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (e-IDSR) system as a key milestone in the country’s One Health journey.
With the new e-IDSR, Rwanda can now detect diseases earlier, track outbreaks more effectively, and share information across sectors in real time.
“With this, we can respond faster, use resources more efficiently, and have a complete view of disease trends across humans and animals alike ”, he said.
