ITβS FINALLY DONE! π§¬π»πΈ
Itβs taken me nearly 4 years, but I have genotyped ~1,100 Southern Corroboree #frogs π

πΈ Happy world #frog day πΈ
Heres to this little frog, who reminds me every day what it means to be a conservation biologist, to keep fighting to help conserve our precious wildlife and ecosystems π«Ά
I realize I'm a bit late mentioning this paper, but I just wanted to make sure that everyone reads the new assessment on amphibian declines [1/5]. nature.com/articles/s41586-0β¦
Tune in to @einstein_agogo today to hear me talk about selective breeding, and how we can use it to assist the conservation of some of our most endangered πΈπΈπΈ

My first #publication as a co-author!! π₯Ίπ₯³ We FINALLY got Alpine Tree frogs to breed in #captivity π± How did we do it? Overwinter the πΈ at β temperatures, then put them in outdoor mescosms to experience the π€ and π§ #firstpaper#new#PhD @LA_Brannelly

We got the best news today β¬οΈπΈπ
Super excited to see this come to fruition, and to now be able to utilise this amazing resource for more #frog disease research! β¨
I just received the most chunk of data from @genomewarriors. The very first Southern Corroboree frog genome!!!! Getting this genome has been such a long time in the making. Having it should help change the course of the conservation for this highly threatened species. Stay tuned!
I'm excited to announce we have started our first large Bd-challenge study in corroboree frogs. This project has been many years in the making. We will be investigating the genetic basis of immunity in this critically endangered species @OneHealthRes @FVASunimelb @MicrobeMik πΈπ§¬
@GARD2022 What an incredible conference targeting diseases in our herpetofauna πΈππ¦
Had the best time presenting my work and hearing about the other incredible work from passionate herp researches π
Canβt wait for GARD2.0 π€
I'm having a blast at the first @GARD2022 conference. Yesterday had a chance to talk about my research on amphibian genomics and genetic intervention @OneHealthRes @FVASunimelb #GARD2022
