Some teams played in a manner that conveyed a sense of entitlement. In contrast, teams like South Africa fought vigorously in their matches to qualify, while Nigeria may have believed that simply showing up would suffice to progress to the next stage.

How the hell did South Africa qualify for the World Cup over Nigeria? They’re so bad man

Thanks for your critique, Janet. We actually tried a couple of episodes where House (Hugh Laurie) (please put the brackets in the right place) gets it right first time, but they were only 6 minutes long. NBC weren’t happy. Then we tried some where House never gets it right and the patient dies. The audience wasn’t happy. One could apply your trenchant analysis to other art forms: JS Bach wrote 30 Goldberg variations on the same chord structure; Frida Kahlo painted 50 portraits of herself; Henry Moore, what?? The point is, or was, variations on a theme; if all you see is hospital, medical blah blah, then it wasn’t meant for you. Nonetheless, I look forward to your first novel!

William Saliba: “The first season I arrived, we were playing incredible football. That was the season where I said we deserved the title. We finished second - as usual, people made fun of us.” “The second season too, we were playing good football, finished second. People made fun of us, ‘Bottle, bottle’. Last season too, we were playing well, even if we weren’t playing as well as the first two seasons, we still finished second.” “This season, even if I don’t agree with everything they say, as if there was only one team that was playing. Well, we’re playing football, except it’s true that sometimes we score a lot more from set-pieces.” “Now, in the Premier League, you see everyone does long throws, focuses on corners, it’s NOT just us. We just do it better than the others, so we’re going to continue like this.” 🏆🇫🇷 [@lequipe]

The day I knew football is cooked was when we piped City 5-1 last season, and the media and rival fans started dragging us instead of City. That shit still hilarious. 🤣

Used to get bantered for 4th, then it shifted to finishing 2nd. Now they’re trying to turn winning the league and losing a ucl final into banter. That’s just the goalposts moving as the level rises. Rival fans are hanging on for dear life, they know what’s coming.

You’ll see random pictures of Arshavin supporting Arsenal every year since he left. Dude never gave any interviews, just kept supporting the club like a proper fan. Top guy.

Robbie Lyle deliberately profitted from Arsenal's lean times. He fed off and added to the toxicity that existed within the fan base. To see him platformed further is sickening.

This shit stain can fuck off. So can Sky for platforming him. He’s only ‘famous’ because he tapped into and made money from us being shit under Wenger/Emery. He created a monster and division which gave good Arsenal fans a bad rep.
