I really do worry for women and children who are stuck at home with violent abusers.
If I was stuck in isolation like this with any of my perps I have been dead within weeks.
We all know that acts of rape and abuse increase at times of crisis and uncertainty. What do we do?
“Social workers must be supported to safeguard people at particular risk of harm, isolation & neglect, & to protect rights and ethical practice in this emergency" - @ruthallenonline@BASW_UKcommunitycare.co.uk/2020/03/…
We would just like to say a massive THANK YOU to all of our committed and dedicated #socialwork and #socialcare staff... all providing fabulous support for those young people on our care.
In these uncertain times human relationships and social connection is more important than ever. Phone friends and family and stay connected #wellbeingwednesday@SelfCarePsy
