Our team rebuilt Onomy from near collapse by rewriting our chain and products from scratch into a mainnet-ready stablecoin vault issuance system — multicollateral, multicurrency. Yet, we faced insurmountable hurdles: NOM’s low market cap blocked new funding. Potential partners demanded a fresh start with a new token, which would have effectively acquired Onomy. This raised complex questions around valuation, token dilution, and stakeholder alignment that ultimately couldn’t be reconciled. Without funding, our runway can’t cover operational costs, and personal funds on the team committed to the restructure that enabled the completion of the MOGA restructure milestones are now tapped. Even with a turning market, the operational friction on a path forward was too great to overcome. We’ll ask validators to stop operations, with the chain offline in 30 days for unstaking and undelegating. TGS stands ready to support the chain longer if needed. We’re deeply grateful for your support through this journey. Our team invested substantial personal capital to keep us going, delivering a platform capable of minting multiple stablecoins from any collateral, be it RWAs or crypto. For anyone interested, this technology is fully built and available for exploration. We’re sorry we couldn’t find a path forward at this time. Should a future route arise, its viability will be assessed before any action is taken, and community will be updated accordingly.
