Few more affected and obnoxious linguistic trends than the increasing use of - even by men - the phrase “dear friends” like everybody’s a lady lunching at the club in their tennis whites. Up there with “welcome in” being the new standard business casual service sector greeting.

Love the B-52s but always thought it was lame that they were like these vegan tree-hugging hippies. The whole vibe of the band otherwise is beach luau with whole roasted pig/suburban bbq/greasy burger joint. The B-52s should be about MEAT!
