We've released a new version of the AudioMoth Configuration App (1.12.0)!
This new version includes new GPS settings and a synchronisation tool. Update now, especially if you have an AudioMoth GPS Hat or GPS bundle!

If you are using the AudioMoth USB Microphone with Raspberry Pi OS Bookworm you will need to change the PipeWire configuration to allow sample rates other than 48kHz. We've added instructions in the AudioMoth-Live GitHub repository. Older versions of the OS work fine.
Two new group orders just opened at @groupgetscom! Order now to get an AudioMoth 1.2 or the AudioMoth Dev GPS Bundle with immediate shipping!

First recording from @DorsetWildlife of dolphin clicks recorded by an AudioMoth Dev and Aquarian H2A hydrophone on a free-floating bouy in Lyme Bay, UK. The buoy transmits GPS position over LoRa so it can be easily recovered.
An infrasonic elephant rumble recorded at @ZSLWhipsnadeZoo with an AudioMoth and a custom low-frequency microphone and low-pass amplifier as part of the @WILDLABSNET awards 2024, together with @OfficialZSL#Tech4Wildlife.
We've donated AudioMoth USB Microphones as prizes for the photo contest at the 16th European Bat Research Symposium. Good luck to everyone attending and taking part. congressos.urv.cat/ebrs-2024…
As part of our @WILDLABSNET awards 2024 project, we've been developing sensors for soil acoustics. This one incorporates a 50mm piezo disc and a high-impedance JFET amplifier, enabling it to be plugged directly into AudioMoth.
Our new application note describes experiments measuring the end-to-end accuracy of GPS synchronisation. We feed the same 1kHz signal into four AudioMoths equipped with GPS hats and show that the resulting WAV files are synchronised to better than 1us. github.com/OpenAcousticDevic…
