Man, Canada 2026 is wild. Hardworking folks grinding full-time jobs are now 'glamping' full-time in rusty RVs and trailers parked in 401 carpool lots. Because apparently a basic roof is too much to ask in this economy.
Today is Tax Freedom Day. The average family just spent the first 158 days (43% of their income) feeding the government beast. Only now do they start earning for themselves… maybe enough for groceries, or that sweet parking spot with a view of the highway. We tax the hell out of people, then act shocked they can’t afford housing. Brilliant priorities?
Time to fix this mess.

Canada just introduced a law to ban kids under 16 from social media.
It's called Bill C-34. It dropped June 10, 2026. And it might be the most controversial thing the Carney government has done.

Even if Bill C-34 passes, the under-16 ban won't actually take effect until late 2027 or early 2028 at the earliest.
The regulator needs to be built. The rules need to be written. Platforms need time to comply.
We're talking 18–24 months minimum.

The problem is real. The mental health crisis is real. But a law that won't kick in until 2028, can be bypassed with a VPN, and creates its own privacy risks isn't a solution.
It's a start. And starts matter.
