BIG NEWS! 📷 The next chapter for Open Neuromorphic is here.
Our Chair, Jens E. Pedersen, just dropped our new Strategic Vision for an open, accessible, and reproducible future in neuromorphic computing.
Read it here: open-neuromorphic.org/blog/s…#neuromorphic#opensource#AI
To power this vision, we've launched a brand-new website, built by our Vice-Chair, Justin Riddiough!
Our goal: make it easier than ever for YOU to get involved. Explore the new ONM hub: open-neuromorphic.org/
This is more than a redesign—it's a recommitment to our mission. We invite you to read the vision, explore the site, and join the conversation on our Discord. Let's build the future of neuromorphic computing, together! #SNN#AICommunity#Tech
The new site features dedicated sections to spotlight our amazing community:
Contributors: Meet the people of ONM.
Initiatives: Join a project.
Hacking Hours & Student Talks: Learn with us.
It's all about collaboration and community empowerment.
Really looking forward to today's talk with @MaxenceErnoult from Rain.ai. After a short presentation, it'll be mostly open discussion today, so you get a chance to ask all those questions you have!

Computing, since its inception, has been processor-centric, with memory separated from compute. Inspired by the organic brain and optimized for inorganic silicon,
NorthPole, the new chip from @IBM, is a neural inference architecture that blurs this boundary.
On the ResNet50 benchmark image classification network, relative to a graphics processing unit (GPU) that uses a comparable 12-nanometer technology process, NorthPole achieves a 25 times higher energy metric of frames per second (FPS) per watt.
Join us on the 25th of Jan, 6PM CET, and dive into NorthPole with @OttatiFabrizio and Carlos Tadeo Ortega Otero! Here on X, LinkedIn on our YouTube channel!
Join us for @cristian_axenie 's talk in half an hour on hybrid learning for event-based visual motion detection and tracking of pedestrians! Live on Youtube
