In light of the recent flooding events in my local area on New Year’s Eve & NY Day. I wanted to do a piece on how wetland woodland can act as a great natural flood defence, and why you shouldn't build 150 new houses on one.

1st of 12 cookery workshops, where we knocked up 8 different salads & dips.
We looked at different ingredients from sumac to pomegranate molasses and Ali talked about some quick/cheat ideas to ‘spruce up yer grub’ from lemon oil to curry mayo. It all tasted delish.

It was all hands on deck as we helped Mottram Rd Allotments set up their new apple press. With a bit of jiggery pokey, they’ll soon be squishing n slurping 🍎

There’s lots of free, family fun activities going on too, just bring yourself, your apples and clean, empty bottles if you want to take any juice home 🍎
