Updated List of Services: hey y'all! been getting a lot of DMs about eye exams, and i unfortunately still cannot offer those. this thread will be the list of everything that Optical Bloc still can offer (while funding lasts)

FYI - our next eye exam glasses day is scheduled for 5/21, 1-4. if you missed out this time, or know of someone who needs this service, please DM. we cannot guarantee a spot, as priority goes to our houseless neighbors and shelter residents. thank you all, as always.

we usually get a confirmed number of houseless patients/shelter residents ~2 wks before the exam day. once we have that, we will begin sorting through twitter DMs. if you DM us and want a spot and you are not houseless/a shelter resident, we will add you to a list and reach out//

again, everyone can get a ~free~ pair of glasses from this! but they take some time to make & distribute. the lenses do not have an anti-reflective coating, so no warranty. but if you break them we'll do what we can to help fix them.

the american healthcare system means that our staff & the wonderful office that lets us use their space/equipment, will be overwhelmed with the influx of work that happens every December. we'll get all of this round's glasses out once they are ready, and see y'all again in 2023!

tomorrow is our next eye exam day! we're so excited! some of our shelter resident patients need a ride to & from the appointment. someone has volunteered to drive them but gas is pricey! if you can swing a donation, or care to boost, our venmo/cashapp are both opticalblocpdx <3

would like to stress that we'd love to bring back our ability to order glasses/contacts for people *at any time* but we cannot do that as of now due to lack of funds. for now our services are concentrated on our approximately monthly eye exam days. thank you for your patience.
