🟠 Carson was born in Dublin on 9 February 1854 and joined LOL 1856 in the city in 1872 🟠 He went on to hold numerous high-profile posts. However, he is perhaps best remembered as leader of the Ulster Unionist Council and for spearheading resistance to the Third Home Rule Bill.

During 2025, Past Grand Master, Edward Stevenson’s nominated charity was Huntington's Disease Association Northern Ireland. Recently, representatives from the charity attended Schomberg House to receive a donation of £16,000 on behalf of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland.
