In case you missed this thread from yesterday.... Thanks so much to everyone for the kind messages. I really appreciate all the kind words.
After 28 years, sadly my time at Opta has come to an end. Through seven different owners, some good, some bad, I've helped the companies grow the brand from start up to global behemoth and I've been very lucky to have a job that was also my hobby.

Every time Expected Goals is mentioned, I know it might not have existed if I hadn't hired Opta's first Data Scientist who created the first model. And every time OptaJoe is mentioned or wins an award, I remember creating the account with the unique style to stand out from the crowd.

I'm grateful for all the kind words from people who matter since my departure. I've met some amazing people along the way, through good times and bad. Not sure what the future holds and am open to new opportunities, but I'm grateful to have had the chance to work in such an amazing industry.
