The San Diego Convention Center floor is now 100% union! IT Technicians and Event Coordinators employed by Smart City Networks voted overwhelmingly to join IATSE Local 122, becoming the last group at the facility to unionize. These workers power the internet infrastructure behind some of the biggest events in the country, from San Diego Comic-Con to major industry conferences drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees. They deserved a seat at the table, and now they have one. Welcome to the union, Smart City crew! 💪

The Democratic Party is unpopular because we had a party that supported the genocide in Gaza, foreign wars, the hollowing out of industrial towns, and we allowed wealth to be hoarded in the hands of the few.

Samsung just averted a strike by granting chip workers an average bonus of about $340,000. The union made a credible strike threat that would have threatened the global chip supply, and Samsung, predicted to be the 2nd most profitable company on Earth this year, caved to worker demands. Samsung has about 78,000 people in its semiconductor division, and while bonuses will vary the average comes out to a stunning $340,000 per worker.

We live under a capitalist oligarchy where both sides of the government serve billionaires, the war machine, and Israel. Whenever the people find a candidate to take on the system, the system either co-opts the candidate or crushes the campaign. Revolution is the only solution.
