One of the most common-sense, thoughtful, balanced articles I've seen in these turbulent times. You might not agree with it all, or even most of it, but it's worth a read. (And yes, @MargaretAtwood is most definitely not American...). thetimes.com/article/cfca72e…

Sad truth is many don't want to work in our amazing industry: they think it's not for them – or people LIKE them. But with ~1/3 of all UK kids today people of colour, & 10% of yng adults lesbian, gay or bisexual / 12% with a disability, what if we could access their talents? 2/3

Just met a (brilliant) female friend who showed me a professional document and asked me my opinion on it, before she submitted it. I noticed there was a typo in “mansplaining”. Wasn’t quite sure what to do.

Anyone out there know how the @UKGCA works? I understood they could only tackle immediate supplier/retailer relationships, but this change in legislation suggests they can go back to farm/buyer level. Does this set a precedent for other farm producers? From this week's @TheGrocer

Does this guy realise UK children are shorter, more undernourished in vital nutrients such as calcium, foliate, zinc & iron, & can expect fewer years of good health than those born a decade earlier? Veganism is not the solution for children. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crej…

You left our conversation so early @ElMystico! Research suggests vegan diets *can* be OK for kids as long as they're planned. Does a poverty situation sound conducive to this? Makes it even more important kids get at least one highly nutritious meal a day. doi.org/10.1136/bmj.n2792
