#FijiElections2022🧵SODELPA leader Viliame Gavoka says they are still going through the process of deciding which political party to coalise with to form the next government. He confirms meeting both FijiFirst & People’s Alliance Party and have made counter proposals to both. 1/4
The party is governed by a management board of over 42 members who will make the final decision. Gavoka says he has no direct say in the decision or negotiations. SODELPA’s negotiating team of six is led by former Parliamentarian Anare Jale. 3/4
Gavoka says they are not rushing the process and has not indicated when the final decision will be made. By law, they have 14 days to do so. The results of their meetings with FFP and PAP/NFP were discussed today and the party has reverted with its counter proposals. 4/4
#FijiElections2022 final results announced this hour by the Fijian Elections Office show that 470,584 votes were valid while 3326 were invalid. Total voter turnout was 473,910 at 68.3%.
