Capitol Police’s recent DUI checkpoint wasn’t just about arresting impaired drivers, there was a larger emphasis on child safety. During the checkpoint, 12 new child seats were installed for the families to take home, free of charge, and 6 adjustments were made.

Capitol Police participated in their first ever DUI checkpoint. This multi-agency effort resulted in 13 being arrested for DUI, 4 being arrested for drug related violations, 2 warrants being served, and 50 traffic citations. This effort was funded by a Police Traffic Safety grant

North St, between the Keystone Garage & the Museum, will have a lane closure on Tues, May 19 & Wed, May 20. Once the lane closure is in place, the remaining lane will be 10 ft wide. Please note that no crane operations will take place while school groups are entering the Museum
