Rewatched the game yesterday lads And what I will say is that it’s such a shame that Hürzeler is a proper helmet because I thought Brighton were outstanding and he came with a serious plan. They did a lot of great things, one of which was in the press at our GKs, where they stopped our go to short passing sequence. Completely nullified it, which was a big reason as to why we did go long frequently. I’ve got some ideas on how we could have countered it, but yeah that was a serious struggle of a game.

He's still very young, hasn't really experienced much yet. No major ambitions either. We're in GW 29 and he's only won 9 league matches all season. Out of the League Cup (beaten by arsenal academy boys), not in the FA Cup or Europe. He's comfortably sitting in 13th, bro. You've got plenty of time to play attractive football and entertain yourself, Arne Slot and your fans. De Zerbi actually played beautiful football 😂way more than you do and he's gone now. Nothing to stress about. Just enjoy yourself, kid.

Taking all delays into account, Arsenal spent an average of 31.4 seconds to get the ball back into play from corners, goal kicks, throws and free-kicks last night vs Brighton. There have been 195 instances of a team taking longer than this in a Premier League match in 2025-26.

Cannot imagine watching Arsenal every week and questioning whether Odegaard should be starting and wearing the armband. Unbelievable footballer in every phase of the game

We’re delighted to welcome @getmetronome to Stripe! Metered pricing is the native business model for the AI era. We’re looking forward to integrating Metronome’s industry-leading capabilities with the rest of the Stripe Billing platform.

Hidden within @stripe City are two very different phone booths. We also have them in our office (full human-sized ☺️). Why? They’re a great reminder that you can build things with intentionality, craft, and beauty… or you can build them the other way.

Wrote about this at the end of the 2022-23 season saying we would experience a drop off in atmosphere because that is normal, predictable human behaviour. Arsenal are a much better team than they were 2-3 seasons ago but the team was flying up the league then and everything was new and exciting. Now they are trying to go from 2nd to 1st and we have become more accustomed to being a very good team. The atmosphere was better between 1996 and 1999 at Highbury than it was in 2004 even though the 2004 team was the pinnacle of Wenger’s reign. But we had been a good team for a long time and everyone reverts back to a mental equilibrium over time.
When do we need to have that awkward talk about the Emirates Stadium atmosphere?

Usually big fans of Ally and Darren fletcher but this commentary on eze’s been a bit weird. He was very good on Saturday on the left. We’ve just got a roaming left back and all our creativity in midfield comes from the right

Arteta has confused people. They now think any young coach who’s struggling in a top team will become elite over time. No, it’s not about being young. It’s about your principles, what you build on & off the pitch every day, & how ambitious your vision is. Don’t get it wrong.
