Thanks to @PCLI President Cecilia Dowd, and the PCLI board for the love! I had to run to another event during the PCLI Awards on Thursday night, so I was already gone by the time she kindly recognized my contributions to the Press Club. After 15 impactful years on the PCLI board - serving as President from 2014-2018 - I am stepping away in anticipation of taking over as National President of the @spj_tweets in October. To me, PCLI will forever be the model of what powers SPJ - a strong local chapter that advocates for its members and region, while inspiring and educating the next generation. #SPJ is only as strong as its local chapters, and I am proud to represent #LongIsland on a national level (more on that in October).
