Over the last 12 years, India has worked to make quality healthcare more affordable and accessible.
We feel proud when we are known as the nation with the world’s largest healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat, which provides top-quality healthcare to the most vulnerable.
Other efforts like PM Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana have made medicines affordable. The prices of stents and knee implants have become affordable and this has helped many people.
At the same time, medical education has become more accessible to people due more institutions and seats being available.
We will keep building on this ground covered so far in order to build a healthy India.

A memorable welcome from the Indian community in Nice.
Though they may be several kilometres away from home, the bond of our diaspora with India remains as strong as ever.
Landed in Nice. In addition to Nice, this France visit includes programmes in Evian and Paris. There will be bilateral and multilateral engagements, which will be aimed at improving India’s friendships with key developmental partners.
I look forward to meeting President Macron tomorrow and to being at ‘Bharat Innovates.’

Bengaluru needs the Hebbal–Sarjapur Metro corridor. But a ₹25,999 crore project must pass the tests of technical viability, ridership and fiscal prudence. The Centre’s insistence on rigorous scrutiny before approval is prudent. Public infrastructure must be sustainable.
Under PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s leadership, India has witnessed a historic transformation in women’s empowerment. From Ujjwala, Jan Dhan and Jal Jeevan to Lakhpati Didis and women in defence, Nari Shakti has become a driving force of national development. #12YearsOfNariShakti

Namma Metro Phase 3 is set to receive Union Government approval soon. Despite earlier concerns over the ₹9,700 crore double-decker addition, RITES has certified the project’s economic viability with an EIRR of 15.9%, comfortably above the 14% benchmark required by the Centre.
BMRCL’s 37.8 km Phase-3A corridor from Sarjapur to Hebbal is expected to secure Union Government approval. But the State Government’s proposed Tunnel Road risks undermining the metro’s viability by diverting commuters, reducing ridership and weakening the case for mass transit.
Bengaluru could soon get high-speed regional rail connectivity to Mysuru, Kanakapura, Tumakuru, Chikkaballapura and Kolar. The Union Government is ready to support these RRTS corridors, provided the State Government drops its plan to extend Metro services to these cities.
