We mourn alongside our policing partners across Ontario and will remember Officer Bali who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.
It is with deep sorrow that I confirm that #OPP Provincial Constable Tarun Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst. The Move Over Law is simple. When an emergency vehicle is stopped on the side of the road with its flashing lights on, drivers must slow down & proceed with caution; make sure it's safe to proceed, then move over to the left & away from the stopped vehicles

Spotted a driver using their phone. When stopped, the driver tossed an open can of beer out the window. Charged with distracted driving, careless driving, & liquor offences. 3 mgs away from losing licence (47mgs per 100mil)
