He earned MVP scoring 37 points. Boone made four of his seven 3-pointers in the first half, including a four-point play with three seconds to go before halftime, and finished with 37 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots to lead the Eagles (29-2). Providence Christian’s boys power past Tuscaloosa Academy with a dominant 89-61 win to claim the Class 2A state championship. 37 points and 12 rebounds for Pearce Boone, who knocked down seven 3-point baskets.
