The story of NI’s economy post-Brexit is both more interesting & difficult to explain than some of the superficial stuff you’ll see going around. The real area of outperformance, which has driven growth, is businesses services. Services aren’t covered by the protocol/ framework.

Better to stick solely to GFA/Hume language - ‘united Ireland’: ‘(ii) to exercise their right of self-determination on the basis of consent, freely and concurrently given, North and South, to bring about a united Ireland…’
The phrase "Unified Island" (capitalised for some reason) rather than "United Ireland" (also capitalised for some reason) is curious.

Excluding those in Northern Ireland?
Under Farage's new plans, "The Telegraph understands that dual nationals, who hold both British and foreign citizenship, would have their welfare entitlement, including housing benefit, reduced but would not be automatically forced to leave social housing".

Its hard to undersell just how large the demonstration in Belfast was today. It was one of the largest demonstrations i've ever seen in the city.

The GAA gets stronger day by day, it not 'dead', it grows and leads.

"In 2025/26 there were 2,367 reported racist incidents compared to 981 sectarian ones. When one considers these affect a such a small proportion of the population (c.4%), it is very clear who it is that are disproportionately vulnerable. "The ‘lockdown’ response to anti-immigration protests and hate-fuelled violence is entrapping all of our society under a heavy burden of fear." Queen's University political sociologist Katy Hayward looks at the stats - and myths - surrounding immigration figures in Northern Ireland. Read more: tinyurl.com/3ucbm46m
